报告人:杨雨亭,清华大学水利水电工程系副教授,博士生导师。2013年博士毕业于清华大学水利水电工程系。先后在澳大利亚弗林德斯大学、澳大利亚联邦科工组织、澳大利亚国立大学从事教学及研究工作。主要从事全球变化的生态水文响应、蒸发理论与模型、流域水文模拟与水文预报、极端水文气象事件与水旱灾害等方面的研究工作。主持包括国家自然科学基金重大专项课题、面上项目、科技部重点研发项目课题、地方科技攻关重点项目课题、澳大利亚自然科学基金项目等科研项目十余项。以第一/通讯作者在Nature Climate Change、 Science Advances等国内外主流期刊等发表论文40余篇,被引3800余篇次(Web of Science),ESI高被引论文9篇。获清华大学优秀博士论文一等奖(2013),澳大利亚弗林德斯大学早期研究员校长奖(2014),《Water Resources Research》最佳论文奖(2016及2020),亚太地区地球科学协会水文分会“Kamide Lecturer”(2018),清华大学学术新人奖(2019)等荣誉。担任国际学术期刊《Journal of Hydrology》、《Remote Sensing of Environment》副编辑及多个国际期刊编委,并多次受邀在AGU、EGU、AOGS等国际学术会议上做特邀报告。2018年入选国家青年人才计划。
摘要:
The complementary relationship provides a framework for estimating land surface evaporation with basic meteorological observations by acknowledging the relationship between actual evaporation, apparent potential evaporation and potential evaporation. As a key variable in the complementary relationship, potential evaporation estimates by conventional models have a long-standing problem in practical applications. That is, the meteorological forcing (i.e., radiation and temperature) employed in conventional potential evaporation models are observed under actual conditions that are generally not saturated. Hence conventional potential evaporation models do not conform to the original definition of potential evaporation (i.e., the evaporation that would occur with an unlimited water supply). In this talk, I will first illustrate the problem and provide a new approach for estimating potential evaporation that does follow the original potential evaporation definition. Then, I will show how the new potential evaporation estimate solves the internal inconsistencies in existing complementary relationship models and leads to a new physical interpretation of the complementary relationship.
